The second tour was as a forward support company commander attached to a combined arms battalion beginning in September 2010, ending that tour in October of 2011 as the brigade logistics planner for Operation New Dawn (OND) in order to shut down the Iraq theater of operations. "I joined flotilla for so many reasons. I believe in its mission. I can be of service in this capacity. I have a moral obligation as someone who has been used as a gangster of imperialism to now work against it. I am a mother who leads by example. My sons know that we stand up against bullies; we stand with the oppressed." -Mary Brownlee
