Joy Metzler

Joy Metzler is a 2023 USAF Academy graduate and recently left the Air Force as a conscientious objector. Her reasoning was rooted in the atrocities unfolding in Gaza, to include the US funding and support of genocide, and she refused to continue being part of US aggression. 

She started speaking out while on active duty and has continued to work to end the genocide in Gaza, joining the Veterans & Allies Fast For Gaza effort centrally in NYC. Joy values community and has even started her own grassroots veterans' group (Vets Against the Machine, @vam_cfl) in Orlando, FL, whose goals are to educate servicemembers on the realities and consequences of war.
