VFP Member, Co-founder Extinction Rebellion-DC
A combat veteran of Vietnam, Dr. Jim Driscoll quit teaching at MIT in 1982 to work full-time on nuclear disarmament. For the last forty years, he has helped found and fund a number of successful local, state and national peace and social justice organizations. For the last eleven years, he has focused on climate change and nonviolent direct action, including co-founding Extinction Rebellion-DC and training 50 BIPOC students this year as Green New Deal Interns in Montgomery County, MD, USA. He helped launch VFP’s current campaign to “Stop the war! Save the climate!"
