Daniel Shea, is the President of Veterans For Peace PDX Chapter 72 Portland Oregon and former VFP National Board of Directors.
Dan was a USMC Machine Gunner deployed to Vietnam in 1968 and the Marine Corp Base at Subic Bay Philippines in 1969.
He hosted a monthly cable TV Program ‘Veterans For Peace Forum’ from 2006 to 2018.
Dan has opposed U.S. Military Interventions since the 1980s, as an activist with the Portland Sanctuary Movement & Portland Central American Solidarity Committee, and has served on a PCASC International Delegation to Venezuela in 2006 and again representing Veterans For Peace with the World Peace Council Delegation in 2019.
Dan returned to Viet Nam for a March 2006 Agent Orange Veterans Conference in Ha Noi, and for a second time in 2018 on the VFP Viet Nam tour for the 50th Anniversary of the My Lai Massacre.
Dan's most recent delegations were in May 2024 Peace Delegation to the Philippines organized by BAYAN USA and March 2025 for a two week Veterans For Peace Delegation to Nicaragua
Dan is also a member of the Portland Chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace & the Jewish Palestinian Alliance of Oregon.
