How do I access the Convention programming?
You should have received an email on August 22nd with your password and the link to our restricted “Virtual Convention” webpage (this is also linked in the navigation menu of the website). This page will be your hub for all of the different sessions, entry into the social room, and access to the recordings! If you registered after August 22nd, your confirmation email should contain the password and information you need to join!
Check out our step-by-step PDF! Email convention@veteransforpeace.org if you are having any trouble accessing the content.
What technology do I need?
All you will need to participate is an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone. To participate fully, you will need a camera and microphone; however, you can still watch and view the content, ask questions, and interact with the presenters without.
All sessions will be accessible from our Virtual Convention page and workshops and other events will be either Zoom Meetings or Webinars.
When will I get my password to access the Convention content?
We sent email out to all registrants on August 22nd. You will also receive an email the morning of August 24th so that the information is at the top of your inbox! This email will contain the password you need to access the virtual content, in-depth information about how to join each of the sessions, and any other information you might need!
Please keep in mind that the password is case sensitive, and needs to be all lowercase.
I didn't get the email!
Please check your spam folder, if it is not in there, please email convention@veteransforpeace.org and we will send you a copy of the email. If you have unsubscribed from getting other VFP emails, it may prohibit you from receiving the emails about Convention. If you think that is the case, please send us an email at convention@veteransforpeace.org!
Do I need to sign-up for each individual session?
Nope! You can access every session from the “Virtual Convention” page for the duration of the Convention. You’ll be able to watch all the recordings there as well.
What sessions will be recorded? How long will recordings be available?
Workshops, Plenaries, Yoga, Music/Poetry and Meditation will be recorded. Meeting rooms and community circles will not be recorded.
Workshop recordings will be available within 48 hours of airing, all recordings will be available within a week of the end of Convention and will be available to access for 60 days.
How and when will Presente take place this year?
Similar to last year, we will be honoring all the VFP members we have lost since the last VFP Convention during our Saturday night event by reading out their names alongside a bell-ringing.
Please fill out this form to include any names of members who have passed away since the 2021 Convention. If you would like a bereavement package sent out, please email Shelly at shelly@veteransforpeace.org.
How do I sign up to read poetry?
If you would like to read a poem or sing a song at our virtual 2022 VFP Convention Poetry Soirée on Friday evening, please fill out this form.
I registered at the commemorative price - when will I receive my $25 store credit?
Registrants who purchased the commemorative ticket to Convention will receive the information for their $25 store credit when they receive their commemorative booklets! Since the booklets will feature content that takes place during Convention, we do not have an exact date when those will be sent, but please rest assured that we will get them to you as soon as we can!
